7 <p><ph conkeyref="vbox-conkeyref-phrases/product-name"/> provides up to eight virtual PCI Ethernet cards for each virtual machine. For each such card, you can individually select the following: </p>

10 <p>The hardware that will be virtualized. </p>

13 <p>The virtualization mode that the virtual card operates in, with respect to your physical networking hardware

17 <p>Four of the network cards can be configured in the <b outputclass="bold">Network</b> section of the <b outputclass="bold">Settings</b> window in <ph conkeyref="vbox-conkeyref-phrases/vbox-mgr"/>. You can configure all eight network cards on the command line using <userinput>VBoxManage modifyvm</userinput>. See <xref href="../cli_topics/vboxmanage-modifyvm.dita"/>.</p>
