Before updating or uninstalling , you must terminate any virtual machines which are currently running and exit the or VBoxSVC applications. To update , simply run the installer of the updated version. To uninstall , run the installer as follows:

sudo ./VirtualBox.run uninstall

As root, you can use the following command:

./VirtualBox.run uninstall

You can uninstall the .run package as follows:

/opt/VirtualBox/uninstall.sh

To manually uninstall , perform the manual installation steps in reverse order.
