Description
I am having a problem with the guest system hanging on resume from pause. I pause the guest system, but when I try to resume, the VM hangs. This happens every time the guest system is paused and resumed. The only resolution is to force quit the guest system.
The relevant portion of the log is below:
00:03:07.162619 Changing the VM state from 'RUNNING' to 'SUSPENDING'. 00:03:07.173212 AIOMgr: Endpoint for file '/Users/clemsonjim/VirtualBox VMs/Linux Mint KDE/Linux Mint KDE.hdd' (flags 000c0781) created successfully 00:03:07.196533 PDMR3Suspend: 33 873 759 ns run time 00:03:07.196556 Changing the VM state from 'SUSPENDING' to 'SUSPENDED'. 00:03:09.760815 Changing the VM state from 'SUSPENDED' to 'RESUMING'.
I am running the following setup:
MacBook Pro Retina (2.3 GHz Intel Core i7 Ivy Bridge) Mac OS X 10.7.5 host VirtualBox 4.2.6
Linux Mint KDE 13 (Ubuntu 12.04) guest VirtualBox 4.2.6 guest additions installed.
The current Linux kernel is below:
clemsonjim@clemsonjim-VirtualBox ~ $ uname -a Linux clemsonjim-VirtualBox 3.2.0-23-generic #36-Ubuntu SMP Tue Apr 10 20:39:51 UTC 2012 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux
The VM hangs. The screen of the VM is gray striped and the "beach ball" shows up when I try to unpause it. Task manager shows the process as Not Responding.
Any ideas?
