Unable to allocate and store memory

Description

I am not able to run Ubuntu on my VirtualBox. At first, it shows calibration fail. Then it shows the following error: Unable to allocate and lock memory. I am trying to run this virtual machine on a different drive which has more than 20gb of space. Any help would be deeply appreciated. Thanks! :)

Resolution:	→ worksforme
Status:	new → closed

This is nothing we could fix:

You should stop other applications which consume host memory at the moment you try to run the VM.
