Sander fixed some parts of the GDT virtualization. Usual operating systems only use a small amount of GDT entries: null selector, ring0 code, ring0 data, ring3 code, ring3 data, tss, ldt, and perhaps one or two more. Syllable needs a full-size GDT.

Now, with VBox 1.4.0 the VBox doesn't crashes anymore, but Syllable still doesn't run. It stucks on graphical boot stage.

Hello
I found this solution to avoid VirtualBox from stucking on graphical boot stage: http://users.telenet.be/mylinux/syllable.htm
It's for Qemu, but it works fine for VirtualBox too. You only have to edit the Grub entry for Syllable and disable the DMA support. After that, you can begin the graphical installation.
Right now I'm trying to finish the current installation (it's very slow and it takes too mucho time). I will report the results.
Bye!
Fixed.
