USB problem

Description

VB 1.6 WinXP on Vista (64b) host, WinXP Pro (32b) as guest Desktop custom based on 680i and Q6600

I have not been able to use USB flash disks.

I plug the usb disk, host OS does not detect it when the VM is on. (When I close VirtualBox host detects them.) But guest also does not detect them. I think the guest system has a problem with the USB driver. The link to start this flash drive appears but do nothing.

My keyboard and my mouse works, but not a simple USB key. I have the same behaviour than a lot of other posters everywhere in the forum.

I should also mention that the link to load the Additions didn't work, I had to mount the image and install it. Could it be linked ?

I also need the serial port, I didn't test it yet, I fear I will have to opt for a dual-boot instead of virtualized OS if it doesn't work.

Update : I reverted to 1.5.6

Now when I plug my USB flash drive, a beautiful BSOD appear. (BSOD : 0x0000000a (0x0000000000000010, 0x000000000000000c, 0x000000000 every time)

Both case : VM 1.6 addition 1.6, VM 1.5.6 additions 1.5.6 Also tryd 1.5.6 in a 1.6 VM, no result.
