1		As a workaround for others that might have this issue and want/need to get their OS working again if you boot in Safe Mode it (for me at least) ends up announcing 'Failure configuring Windows updates, reverting changes' and after some time ~~gives~~ a working system once more. Any problematic updates can then be disabled in Windows Update whilst a permanent fix is (hopefully) found.
