Trouble shutting down MirOS guests

Description
Hi, I am trying to automate shutting down my MirOS i386 guests with sudo halt -p, so that I can produce a reusable Vagrant box. However, when I run this, the VM never actually shuts down.
I don't know much about the internals of APM/ACPI, so I do not know if this is a problem with VirtualBox and/or MirOS. I am using a fresh MirOS (AKA MirBSD) v10 install in VirtualBox.

No VBox.log provided, please reopen if still an issue with a recent VIrtualBox release and provide instructions on how to set up MirOS guest (or even better provide a link for ready to run VM which shows the issue).
