Shared Clipboard, guest win10 aborted, or host ubuntu cliboard hangs

Host: Ubuntu 20.04 Guest: Windows 10 Shared clipboard: bidirectional

each time I copy text from pdf files opened in acrobat 2017 in the guest win 10, the host clipboard will hang. (VBox.log)

If I copy texts several times, the guest aborted. (VBox.log.2)

This problem starts at least from VB 6.0

Could you please try VirtualBox 6.1.28? We have improvements in shared clipboard area there. Both VBox and Additions update is necessary.

At the first for half or more minutes, host to guest only! and then bidirectional Shared Clipboard works smoothly

After running for 3 hours, copying from guest to host, the host Clipboard is stuck for minutes.

Could you please try one of the latest Latest 6.1.x test builds (for example, https://www.virtualbox.org/download/testcase/VirtualBox-6.1.29-147826-Linux_amd64.run). There is an additional improvement in Clipboard area which might address your case.

copy from guest (win notepad) to host, OK. copy text from host to guest notepad, OK.

copy form guest (win acrobat 2017) text to host, stuck.

Thank you for trying test build and attaching log. Log file look interesting. Could you please tell, into which App on a host side you attempted to paste guest's Acrobat content? Maybe you also could attach a PDF document which causes the issue (if possible)?

for pdf, any pdf on my hard disk, English, or Chinese. Most of them are from research papers from Elsevier or Wiley. Some pdfs come from TeX files compiled by TeXlive 2021.

Regarding the apps on host, I am using linuxmint: text editor such as Pluma or xed, web browser such as google chrome (copy to URL address bar or google search input box)

Within the guest, it works smoothly to copy text from acrobat 2017 to notepad. But to paste to host cause a clipboard-stuck in host, or the host and guest clipboard isolated (host copy and paste within host, guest within guest, no host to guest or guest to host). Even worse, the host is hang for a few minutes, you can move the mouse, but no responds on mouse clicks.

Please check the VBox1027.log attached, from line 2100. I copy the title (first 4 words) of "Paper JoF" in guest acrobat 2017, and paste to xed editor of host, then the host's clipboard stuck, and I power down the VM, it takes me several minutes for the guest to shutdown (in normal state, only a few seconds needed)
