Using 1.5.0, problem is still here

joelito: could you please give more details? On a Ubuntu 7.04 host with a WinXP SP2 guest, I was able to use the host's WinKey to bring up the "My Computer" window and others. Could it be a problem with your setup on the host?
Alexey: do you still have this problem with 1.5.0?

Please use VirtualBox 1.5.6. Keyboard handling was completely changed again. Reopen this bug if necessary.

VirtualBox 1.5.6 (installed from the rpm on site), under Fedora 8, i386, KDE 3.5, Customized keyboard settings to allow Win-key shortcuts under KDE, keyboard layout window reports xkb options as setxkbmap -option lv3:ralt_switch,ctrl:nocaps,altwin:meta_win
Winkey doesn't work under virtual XP; KDE win-shortcuts don't work while virtualbox window is active, either with or without guest additions are installed.

Please reopen if still relevant with a recent VirtualBox release.
Both the win key and the menu key work here, did you try 1.4.0?
