Description
Host: Windows XP Pro x64 edition
Guests: Windows XP Pro (32&64-bit) and Windows 2000
Intel PRO/1000 MT Desktop (Bridged adapter, Realtek PCIe GBE Family Controller #2, starts disconnected)
To get the guest operating system to recognise that the network cable has been connected I have to connect it, then disconnect it and then reconnect it, after which it finally detects that the virtual cable has been inserted.

This is not a new bug (not a regression), its been around for quite some time.

I've just installed Mandriva 2010, it can see and use the Ethernet connection even though VirtualBox declares that the cable is disconnected.
