Description
On a NEW install of Windows 7 (home) 64-bit, harddisk connected to SATA:
1. Windows shows the 'Safely removal of hardware' with the harddisk (drive C) as shown in attached picture. Old installation is not affected. Moving the harddisk to IDE solves the problem. Moving it back to SATA and problem reappears. I have tried 2 new installs, same result.
2. The new SATA is not compatible with Intel Rapid Storage. When trying to install, it says: Mininum requirements not present.

Why is 1. a problem? SATA drives are hot-pluggable and you can hot-unplug the drive using VBoxManage. VBox 4.1.2 has some hotplug fixes (i.e. SATA CD/DVD drives are now hot-pluggable as well).
