It's right.
I have WindowsXP as Host. I run Ubuntu within VirtualBox. In Ubuntu VirtualBox, I want to install Windows XP...
... many people will ask me why I want to do this...
I'm thinking switching my "host" from Windows XP to Ubuntu. So I installed Ubuntu in a VirtualBox to test it before. And I wanted to see if VirtualBox was working well in Ubuntu...

We don't support such recursive setups. The typical cause for a failure during installation at that point is lack of memory. (too much assigned to the guest)

Do I understand you right that your host is Windows XP, you have a virtual machine running Ubuntu and you try to run VirtualBox within this virtual machine where you want to install Windows XP?
