No audio input from XP host to Linux guest

Description
I can't see any audio going into the guest system. On host everything works well. In Virtualbox Host Audio Driver has been set as Windows DirectSound and Audio Controller is ICH AC97. Audio playback on the guest works flawlessly.

I assume that you just used the wrong input channel. All audio input goes through the 'Line In' channel, even if the sound comes from the host microphone.
