Allow storing virtual machine settings in a directory thus multiple virtual box installation could share

Description
Currently the settings of each virtual machine are stored in an xml file. I suggest to allow storing settings of a machine in a single directory.
For my case, I have double systems on my machine: a Windows and a Linux. I have Virtual Box installed on both systems, but the settings in the virtualbox of one systems changes, the other won't. So I believe this is a valuable suggestion.
