Post 4.1.10 Upgrade Error

Description

After upgrading from 4.1.8 to 4.1.10 on Windows 7SP1, no VMs will open. An VirtualBox Runtime Error is returned stating "Cannot access the kernel driver!". Abort is selected and the following error is returned, "Failed to open a session for the virtual machine machine-name" Result code: E_FAIL (0x80004005) Component: Machine Interface: IMachine {5eaaa9319-62fc-4b0a-843c-0cb1940f8a91}

This occurred on all guest VMs, OEL 5.4, 5.6, Fedora and WinXP, nothing will open after upgrade, at a HARD STOP, work stoppage.

We did not change the Windows installer. Could you try to completely remove VirtualBox and install version 4.1.10 again? Your VMs will not be touched by this procedure.

Uninstall/reinstall corrected the previous error messages but also removed one of the host OS Virtual Box network adapter that certain VMs were using. This was corrected and all is working. Case can be closed.
