Component: | USB | Version: | VirtualBox 4.1.12 |
Keywords: | BSOD VBoxUSBMon.sys | Cc: | |
Guest type: | all | Host type: | Windows |
Description
My Host OS experiences BSODs intermittently, shortly after I shutdown any guest on the system. After looking at the Memory Dump, the BSOD related to VBoxUSBMon.sys. I do not have USB enabled for any of my guests when this happens.
For reference, please take a look at this thread: https://forums.virtualbox.org/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=49213
I will attach an xp Guest Log and also the BSOD summary to this ticket for more information.

Unfortunately the minidump for which I had uploaded the details was erased by a maintenace batch script. Reproducing the crash was a little difficult this time and it seems that VBoxUSBMon is not involved this time, but both BSODs are linked to hal.dll
I hope this still helps you zero-in on the problem.

I have managed to reproduce the crash again under the aforementioned conditions. I've uploaded the second minidump so you can see if there is some consistency.

This problem has stopped occurring. So I would consider this ticket closed unless there is someone else experiencing it.
