Description

I have the similar problem with initial startup VirtualBox 1.5.4 like described in this ticket: http://www.virtualbox.org/ticket/801

VBox crases after clicking "confirm" button. In terminal "segmentation fault is displayed System: OpenSuse 10.3 32-bit

Thanks for that report. Could you provide a core dump, see http://www.virtualbox.org/wiki/Core_dump ? I assume that you installed the 1.5.4 openSUSE10.3 rpm from our website?

Yes, I've installed VBox 1.5.4 directly from this link: http://virtualbox.org/download/1.5.4/VirtualBox-1.5.4_27034_openSUSE103-1.i586.rpm

We thought we fixed this problem already. Could you provide a core dump (see http://www.virtualbox.org/wiki/Core_dump)? Would be great if you could attach the dump to this report, this would help us debugging.

There is attachment with core dump above. File is bzipped and splitted. Thanks for your support.

This also happens on Ubuntu 8.04 alpha 2 with the latest updates (as of January 27), 2.6.24-5-generic kernel.

This bug was fixed in SVN. It will be fixed once and for all in 1.5.6. Thank your for the additional information.
