AHCI: Cannot read the VM image file
Reported by: | Kunal | Owned by: | |
---|---|---|---|
Component: | virtual disk | Version: | VirtualBox 4.1.16 |
Keywords: | ahci | Cc: | kunal.gangakhedkar@… |
Guest type: | Linux | Host type: | Linux |
Description
Built new version of VirtualBox OSE from the svn trunk (r41758) and exiting VM doesn't boot at all. Attaching the screenshot for the error along with VBox.log.
When I attach the same VDI to a new IDE controller in the same VM, the VDI boots correctly and the VM is accessible without issues.
Earlier, it was working fine with the AHCI controller as well.
Guest OS is Fedora 16 x86_64. More detailed specs available in the attached screenshot.
Host specs:
- OS: Ubuntu 11.10 x86_64.
- CPU: AMD PhenomII X6
- RAM: 8GB DDR3
Let me know if any more details are needed.

Oops, I meant existing VM - not exiting VM.

Please don't open bug reports for self-compiled SVN builds. Only do that for real VirtualBox releases.
