Description
As posted earlier on forums (http://forums.virtualbox.org/viewtopic.php?p=14076), the installation of Windows XP hangs and shortly after that gives critical error. The point when this happens is immediately after choosing the partition to install XP into. I can move the selection, but after I choose, it hangs up. The host is Debian Etch, and apt-get fails to find updates. This error happened both with the version available from apt-get, and also on version compiled from source-code.

Forgot to say that the guest-to-be-installed was going to be on virtual drive (fixed allocation, fresh file). The installation medium was on USB DVD-drive, which VB was told to mount as cdrom, and subsequently boot up from. I have tried two installation discs, so that should not be a problem either (suggested also by the point where it happens - when choosing empty space for partition which is to be formatted). Creating the disc-file again does not help either.

Please retry with 1.6.0. If the problem still happens then reopen and attach the VBox.log file. The files you attached were not the right ones. You can find the VBox.log files in the main selector windows, select the machine menu, Show Log ...
