Disappearing of second screen on W7 guest (FS mode) => Fixed in SVN
Reported by: | Evgeny | Owned by: | |
---|---|---|---|
Component: | WDDM | Version: | VirtualBox 4.2.2 |
Keywords: | Cc: | ||
Guest type: | Windows | Host type: | Windows |
Description
In fullscreen mode (2 monitors on host WinXP & 2 monitors on guest Win7 with WDDM and Aero enabled) after number of idle (in guest) minutes second screen disappears. Mouse starts behave uncorrectly (look like X resolution for mouse is still like in dual screen mode but scaled to single). Sometimes Win+L(guest) and login after helps - second screen appears but some times not. Also topmost windows on host overlapped by guest in fullscreen (it was ok in one of prev versions).

Not sure that will be able to check it now... Will try in nearest time.
PS: By the way found that login to virtualbox.org over oracle access manager fails if using Opera (v.12.12) :) IE, FF looks well but Opera fails displaying "Oracle Access Manager system error. Contact to sys.adm."...

It still happens, second screen disappears.
VirtualBox: 4.3.20-96996~Debian~wheezy
Host: uname -a Linux workstation.aulix.com 3.13-0.bpo.1-amd64 #1 SMP Debian 3.13.10-1~bpo70+1 (2014-04-23) x86_64 GNU/Linux
Guest: Windows 8.1
Workaround steps:
1) VirtualBox: choose "Switch to Full Screen"
2) Windows: reconfigure displays, say change to "duplicate" mode and then change back to "extend" mode.
Also appears in VB 4.2.4 And one more thing - second screen do not redraws after it was restored from minimized state.
