VBox crashes when running OS/2 VM
Reported by: | Rafcio | Owned by: | |
---|---|---|---|
Component: | VM control | Version: | VirtualBox 4.2.10 |
Keywords: | Cc: | ||
Guest type: | other | Host type: | Windows |
Description
The crashing started some time ago. I'd say it was introduced recently, but I can't tell in which version. Possibly within last 3 months or so. When an OS/2 VM is running there is a random crash. It is really random. It may take a few minutes or a few days of VM uptime for the crash to occur. It also happens on 2 different host machines, but they are both Win7 x64, but on totally different hardware. Also, 2 totally different OS/2 VMs are involved.

Looking into the log files this seems to be pretty consistent. It should not be hard to fix as even the failing line of code is given. 01:12:53.316506 PIIX3 IDE: guest issued command 0xca while controller busy 01:12:59.949634 AsyncCompletion: Task 0x00000005b90fc0 completed after 13 seconds 01:12:59.949687 PIIX3 ATA: execution time for ATA command 0xca was 13 seconds 01:12:59.956987 PIIX3 IDE: guest issued command 0xca while controller busy 01:13:00.018957 01:13:00.018958 !!Assertion Failed!!
