It might be me, but every time I want to run a kernel profile, my Virtual-Box crashes completely...
My Operating System for Host is Vista Business Edition. My laptop is a Fujitsu Siemens V3525:
- 1GB DDR2 - RAM
- Intel Core Duo T2350
- Intel 945 Express Chipset
And the guest is well ... Ubuntu Desktop 7.10 ... I have installed the Kernel Module for VirtualBox ...

Virtual Box 2.1.2 is still crashing with this bug... now my Linux Guest is Ubuntu 8.04.2 ... fully update with all the Additions installed ...

Could you please explain what do you mean by 'run a kernel profile'. Sequence of steps, or shell script reproducing your steps would be the best possible solution.

It is actually simple really, you boot linux with the option of lets say "profile=2" at the end of all the boot options within GRUB ... to see where the kernel spends most of its time ... It gets the EIP (I think) instruction pointer ...
