USB capture fails for Samsung Nexus 10

Description
I have already used Nexus 4 and Nexus 7 devices on this laptop so am reasonably sure that this error is specific to the Nexus 10 (I have tried this on several different Nexus 10 devices)
When I try to capture the Nexus 10, I get the connection sound, then 3 seconds later the disconnect sound. I occasionally get the busy error

Hey I just got it to work! The key was to use the USB Filters feature. It's not well documented, but if you go in there and add an entry for your Nexus 10, it will connect when you plug it in. I'm now seeing it when I run "adb devices".
Still probably a bug here, but at least this lets me work around it.

Oh, I also switched to ehci (USB 2.0), not sure if that matters or not. I think it failed with ehci earlier for me so probably nothing to do with it.

Please reopen if still relevant with a recent VirtualBox release.
I'm having this problem as well. I'm running Windows 7 as the host and Xubuntu 12.04 as the Guest. My Nexus 10 connects to Windows OK, but when I attempt to capture in the vm, it connects, then disconnects.
Here's what I see from dmesg:
