Linux Mint 15 Cinnamon with 3D accelerator crashes ==> Fixed in SVN

Description
I installed a fresh Linux Mint 15 Cinnamon 64 Bit as a guest in Virtual Box 4.2.12 on a MacBook Pro 5,1 with OS X 10.8.4.
Linux Mint is requesting to turn 3D accelerator on. After start of Linux Mint, the virtual machine crashes without further warning, e.g when using the main menu several times. The virtual machine crashes that bad, even the log files don't show anything. The machine just disappears. No reboot. Nothing. After turning 3D accelerator off, Linux Mint 15 Cinnamon does not crash, but a info-box explains, that now the CPU usage will get high.

Replying to Vietwoojagig2:
Does not work with the new version VirtualBox-4.2.14-86644-OSX
Like I said, the fix will be available in the next *major* release only, i.e. NOT in 4.2.x maintenance releases.

This should be fixed with VBox 4.3. Please give it a try and re-open the ticket if needed.
Note that you'll need to update Guest Additions to 4.3 as well.

It's happening again since VirtualBox 4.3.8 and Mint Cinnamon 16. Exactly the same - reopening this ticket

Could you try VBox 4.3.10 and 4.3.10 Additions, and if the issue is still there, please attach a crash report (assuming you are on OSX host).

The Problem is still there. VirtualBox 4.3.26 r98988.
Host system: Win 8, 64 bit. Guest system: Linux Mint 17, 64 bit.
In following scenarios 3D acceleration is enabled. VirtualBox AddOns are installed.
Case 1: VM is started on the Windows machine directly. Cinnamon works perfectly.
Case 2: RDP client connects to Windows system and launches the same VM. Login dialog of Linux Mint VM is correctly displayed. Just after login the desktop of Linux Mint is correctly displayed for a moment, including wallpayper. A second later Cinnamon crashes and an error message is displayed suggesting to restart Cinnamon. Restarting Cinnamon doesn't help. If 3D acceleration is disabled, Cinnamon works correctly.
Case 3: VM is started on the Windows machine directly. Then the RDP client connects to the Windows machine. Cinnamon works correctly. --> The Problem occurs just after login.
Case 4: Same as case 2, but VMware is used instead of VirtualBox. The same VM is converted to VMware format. 3D acceleration in the VMware VM is enabled. Remote client connects to Windows machine via RDP and launches the Linux Mint VM. Cinnamon works perfectly.
These cases show that:
- The problem is connected with 3D acceleration. If it is disabled, no problem occurs.
- The problem is connected with some limitations of the host system, that are caused by RDP mode. The problem occurs only if VM is started via RDP client connected to the host system. Without RDP client no problem occurs.
- The problem is in the VirtualBox, not in the host system, because VMware works correctly with the same host and the same guest and with RDP client connected.

Still exists with 5.0.6 and Cinnamon 2.6.13+rafaela
I dont use RDP Client.
This issue should be fixed in the next major release. For now I can give you a trunk test build so that you can try whether the issue is fixed for you with it.
NOTE: Trunk is under heavy development now, and thus can be used for testing purposes only and can NOT not be used in production environment.

Note2: You will need to update both host distro and Guest Additions supplied with this test build.
