Can't create host-only network

Description
I've been beta testing OSX 10.9 DP2 and cannot create a host-only network interface. I'm given the following error:
Failed to create the host-only network interface. VBoxNetAdpCtl: Error while adding new interface: failed to open /dev/vboxnetctl: No such file or directory . Result Code: NS_ERROR_FAILURE (0x80004005) Component: HostNetworkInterface Interface: IHostNetworkInterface {87a4153d-6889-4dd6-9654-2e9ff0ae8dec}
If I reinstall vbox I am able to create a host-only interface. However, I have to re-install after every reboot. Any ideas why /dev/vboxnetctl isn't being created? Is there a kernel module thats failing to load?
