Windows 8.1 Preview Host - No network connection in host OS

Description
Installing virtualbox causes network connections to fail under Windows 8.1 preview.
- Install VirtualBox & VirtualBox Network Drivers
- Network adapters quit working
My network adapter is a Realtek RTL8111/8112 Issue persists using Realtek drivers and generic Windows drivers.
Uninstalling the network adapter drivers and reinstalling causes adapter to work. Sleeping or rebooting the computer will cause issue to resurface.
Uninstalling virtualbox fixes the issue.

Looks like a duplicate of #11948. Please continue the discussion there (to help debugging, please answer the question by Misha in that ticket).
Correction: Rebooting does not cause the issue to resurface, just sleeping
