Security Tab is missing in shared folders

When you open properties of file in shared folder (via VirtualBox sharing), it's security tab is missing. This produces problems when you want read ACL of that file so applications that need such capabilities (like Visual Studio) get an exception trying to access file placed there. I suggest that files in shared folder will have permissions for all to read or to modify according to the settings of that folder.

I am having a similar issue with version 4.3.26 running on Windows 7 64 bit host, a Windows 7 32 bit guest in a Microsoft 2008 domain.

Certain applications need a slightly more advanced file system than the current Shared Folders feature offers. For local drives I can simply stop using Share Folders option and map them as a shared drive using host permissions, problem solved. When dealing with network drives this becomes a much bigger issue. Shared Folders work great for sharing network drives to a guest without having to make the guest login to the local domain but when certain guest applications try to get the ACL you get permission errors.

I hope in the future this issue can be addressed.

I am having this issue with Ubuntu 16.04 Host and Windows 10 Pro Guest.

In the guest, my drive C: is NTFS and File Permissions can be set. My drive D: is VBoxSharedFolderFS and File Permissions cannot be set through Windows File Explorer.
