The Guru Meditation you saw should be fixed in this build. Could you verify this?
I maybe able to try it, but the guest is a production guest I must have access to, so installing a testcase vbox build is not an easy proposal, I will see if I can build a test box to verify it. For now I see no difference in my user experience, with 2d turned off. Is the 2d accel a known issue with the current build?

Actually 2D video acceleration should work, there is no known regression. The build I provided you contains a fix for 2D but this fixes no regression but an old bug which is triggered only on rare cases. OTOH you should enable such special features like 2D or 3D acceleration for a VM only if you need them.

VBox 4.3.4 is released. Please reopen if you still see this error.

I have 4.3.4 installed, I did a reboot from Windows, same thing. The only way to get the client up, is to get Windows to the "failed boot", i.e. boot Windows normally or in diag... select normally, and it comes up.
I was able to get guest OS to boot if I removed enable 2D acceleration. But this problem has been occuring on every guest restart since I upgraded to verstion 4.3.2
