Description
I am experiencing the same issues as: https://www.virtualbox.org/ticket/8515 https://www.virtualbox.org/ticket/8494 https://www.virtualbox.org/ticket/2274 https://www.virtualbox.org/ticket/6538 https://www.virtualbox.org/ticket/4200
The processes start but no window opens. VBoxSVC.exe swells in CPU usage and VirtualBox.exe opens and does nothing.
As I checked the above links with the same problem and had no solution.
I was, however, able to figure out a solution on my own and would like it posted so others can see this.
I installed a new printer. The recent hardware change caused the problem. As soon as I turned off/unplugged/disconnected the newly installed hardware (in this case a printer) the window opened.
One of the above links said the issue was a new sound card, so it seems that it can be any hardware changes. Just thought everyone might want to know.

Please reopen if still relevant with a recent VirtualBox release.
I still would like to see a VBox.log message of a VM session. This will show your VM configuration. Also, it's indeed possible that a USB device could make the VBoxSVC daemon hang. As you are on a Linux host it would be interesting to have a core dump for this case as we cannot reproduce this hang here.
