VirtualBox 4.3.6 - WIndows Host - Unable to save any settings & VMs cannot restart after shut down

For some reason, I cannot save any configuration settings in VirtualBox. For example, trying to set the full screen mode HOST+F key option it sets it, but it is not activated nor saved.

When shutting down a VM gracefully, I cannot restart them, error, I have to kill VBoxSVC process and all the VirtualBox.exe processes running then I can then start the guest up again successfully.

Two machines of mine have this issue and both running WIndows 7 32 or 64bit as hosts.

Which log files would be helpful?

Could you check if the same happens with VBox 4.3.8?

Please reopen if still relevant with a recent VirtualBox release.
