Black screen running virtualbox with winxp

Description
Well I have two virtualboxes on two different HD. Both with winxp. I have extended the virtual disk capacity and run my first winxp.vdi. Up to here OK. But when shutting down the system UBUNTU, I am not able to run my first winxp, just see the black screen with no activities. When I switch to my second winxp, everything is working flawlessly. What could be done with my first winxp to force it to be working?
