Description
Hi,
I'm running a Windows 7 Guest on a Debian machine running VirtualBox 4.3.12 (Guest Additions 4.3.12r93733). The machine hangs for an unknown reason. Status is reset to "Aborted".
From the host /var/log/syslog:
Jun 18 00:24:50 Oxygen kernel: [947530.286724] EMT[16718]: segfault at 0 ip 00007f2877b90ebd sp 00007f28763dd800 error 4 in VBoxVRDP.so[7f2877b22000+18c000]
I'll post a coredump as soon as it happens again (just read the instructions and I was not aware I needed something set beforehand)
Thank you

Some more info: The RDP client I'm using to access the headless VM is the Windows 8.1 default (Remote Desktop Connection Shell Version 6.3.9600 Control Version 6.3.9600)

Although the VM has crashed again no coredump was generated.
I've been starting the VM using VBoxManage since it's a headless server and so I can't use "VirtualBox -startvm". Is that the reason no coredump was generated?

RDP shouldn't crash anyway. Please could you enable core dumps on your host? Without a core dump we cannot find the problem.

This ticket can be closed. I believe the new update fixed it somehow. Has not happened since.

Not sure if we fixed anything related to VBoxVRDP in that release. Feel free to reopen if necessary. To get a core dump you should start your headless client with VBoxHeadless -startvm.
