Description
When I restart my windows xp sp2 pro in virtualbox it's really slow to boot. To fix this I turn of the virtual machine in the boot sequence and start it again, the boot menu will appear and I select boot normally. And windows xp will boot at normal boot speed. The next time i try to restart I have to do the same. This will also happen if i turn of the virtual machine with windows xp, and the next time I power it on it will be slow to boot. This is not the case with windows vista. The guest is windows xp sp2 with the latest updates, the host is ubuntu gutsy x64 with the latest updates.

Please reopen if still reproducible with VBox 3.1.6. In that case please attach a VBox.log file of such a VM session.
I see a similar problem with one of my Windows 2000 virtual machines. Not sure of the pattern, but about 2 out of 3 times it will boot (and run) really slowly. Have to turn it off and back on until it boots normally.
