Description
When attempting to create virtual oses in Virtual box beyond version 4.3, it is failing to properly detect the 64 bit OS on the host machine and wont install any OSes other than 32 bit ones. Reading through bug reports and community this seems to be a common thread. Can you get it fixed please? Host machine is a Lenovo T440 Thinkpad running Windows 7 Professional 64 bit

not finding 64-bit guest type at in in the options. I am running vbox on windows 8.1 64 bit.

If the GUI doesn't show 64-bit OS types then VT-x most likely is not available for some reason. Check your BIOS settings and try to enable "virtualization support".

Please upload VBox.log for you VM you have.
Also, are you sure you have VT-x/AMD-V enabled in your BIOS? Also - have you tried creating a guest as 64-bit OS type?
