VirtualBox 4.3.16 - Windows Guest unable to do Windows Experience Index

Description
Upgraded last night to 4.3.16 on Ubuntu 12.04 64bit host, Windows 7 64bit guest. Installed Windows Guest Additions in safe mode installing "Basic DirectX support". Once installed went to refresh the "Windows Experience Index" as it "detected new hardware". Test fails to complete with an error saying "Could not measure video playback performance", test has previously completed on previous revisions.
