Description
I am an occasional user of VirtualBox. I'm transitioning from VMWare Workstation. I created a VM in VirtualBox and I attempted to disable the USB passthrough for security reasons. I received this notice:
USB controller emulation is not currently enabled on the USB page. This is needed to support an emulated USB input device. It will be done automatically if you confirm your changes.
I didn't interpret that as I actually had a USB device enabled for the VM, and would have to disable it to disable USB. I asked in the forum and found out that was the case though.
For other users consider clarifying that error message to say "This is needed to support an emulated USB input device you have enabled for this VM." I had no idea a USB emulated device was enabled for the VM and no reason to think one was but I guess it must be the default option with the configuration I selected. Thanks

I'm fine with your suggestion. Regarding security concerns: VirtualBox will never automatically pass through any USB device to the VM unless you created a corresponding USB filter.
