Host Only Adaptor Not Installing Correctly

Description
When I install virtualbox, everything goes fine. However, afterwards when I go into the device manager the Host Only Adaptor is marked in error. I tried what the troubleshooting guide said by uninstalling virtualbox and then deleting the infCache.1 file, and then rebooting and reinstalling. After I reinstall the device is no longer listed as having an error but when I try to create a network in the vboxmanager I get the same error as before. So I tried rebooting and afterward the device was once again listed as having an error.
