Description
I have just installed CentOS 4.4 in VirtualBox 1.5.6 with CentOS-4.4.ServerCD-i386.iso cd, on first bootup the guest starts in runlevel 3. when i try to switch to runlevel 5 with the 'init 5' command i get a "INIT:id "x" respawning too fast: disable for 5 minutes" error message when I try to switch to runlevel 5 with the 'startx' command the GUI starts up for a few seconds then closes down with a "waiting for x server to shutdown" message
All these commands were run from the root account
My host pc is running Windows XP Professional SP2
Please make sure that this is a VirtualBox issue and not a CentOS one, and reopen if appropriate.
