Unable to launch any virtual machines

Description
I have windows 7 ultimate 32 bit. I have two older virtual machines that launched the following error code:
Callee RC: E_INVALIDARG (0x80070057)
Result Code: E_FAIL (0x80004005) Component: Machine Interface: IMachine {480cf695-2d8d-4256-9c7c-cce4184fa048}
I created a new virtual machine and got the same problem.

Same problem here: Error Message (translated from italian) says: "Creation of VirtualBox COM Object unsuccesful". Details: Calling RC: E_INVALIDARG (0x80070057). I have attached VBoxStartup.log.

Please reopen if still relevant with a recent VirtualBox release.

That log shows a VM session with VBox 4.3.16 which looks quite normal (I don't see any problem). Please try to start the VM which fails to start and attach the VBoxSVC.log file from the .VirtualBox folder (most likely located in
c:\\users\\USER\\.VirtualBox\VBoxSVC.log).
