USB scanner is no longer visible in manager

Description
For a long time (years!) I didn't have any problem with USB scanner and VBox. After upgrading to OS 13.2 on one hand and VBox 4.3.20 on the other, VBox Manager no longer sees the scanner.
lsusb gives me:
Bus 002 Device 010: ID 07b3:0900 Plustek, Inc. OpticBook 3600 Scanner
And in VBox manager when I try to add device to given guest, I click on "add" and I see "<no devices>".

Gosh. Missing user in a group.
PLEASE -- instead of giving misleading info about "no USB devices detected" show "you are not part of vboxusers group".
