Description
VirtualBox version: 4.3.20 r96997 VirtualBox extension pack version: 4.3.20 r96996 Host: Windows 8.1 Guest: Windows 7 Pro USB Audio Device: Plantronics DSP-500 Headset
Twice within an hour, my VM locked up completely, then after perhaps a minute, disappeared. The left panel of the Manager window shows that it was "Aborted". Each time this happened, I was attempting to get my USB headset working properly within the guest. The aborts do not immediately occur.
Once set up, sound playing through the headset's speakers is choppy. Alternating the sound output back and forth between my laptop's built-in speakers and the headset works. The sound output is completely fine when using the built-in speakers, and returns to being choppy when using the headset.
Unfortunately, microphone sound capture through the headset's microphone is also choppy in the same manner, and I have no simple workaround for that.
Please reopen if still relevant with a recent VirtualBox release.
