Description
When I try to load any operating system on to VirtualBox (in this case, Windows 98SE) it takes 100% of my CPU usage, redering my PC totally unstable and non-usable. I doubt it is my PC Spces which is causing this problem.
Windows XP Professional SP2; Pentium 4HT 3.0GHz; 768MB RAM; 256MB Graphics; 80GB HDD;

This is not your PC but the guest which is causing this problem. Windows 98 does not call the processor
hlt
instruction when idle. Instead it loops waiting for events. Every modern operating system callshlt
to reduce the power consumption. There are applications available for Win98 which achieve the same, just google a little bit. Or look here: http://www.virtualbox.org/wiki/User_FAQ
