Description
Current version 1.5.6 seems to have a bug in the USB monitor driver code.
When it is installed, it is impossible on Win2000 to properly eject a USB device. There are no errors or messages, no reaction at all from Windows, much like it is totally ignoring the eject request.
Removing the VirtualBox USB Monitor Driver from the system solves the problem. This error does not occur with versions <= 1.5.4, I reverted back to 1.5.4 as temporary workaround.
- Host: Win2000 SP4

- Version: 1.5.6

I'm not sure if we're going to fix this as Win2k is no longer supported. We might revive it, but then without any warranty. See 1474.
We have never tested USB with win2k hosts by the way and assumed it didn't work at all. A workaround is to simply not install the USB monitor driver.
