Application fault (access violation) in VBoxD3D9wddm-x86.dll on Windows 10 VM

I run Quicken Premier 2015 in a Windows 10 virtual machine.

Virtual Box VM 5.00 r101573 Virtual Box Guest extensions installed.

Quicken failed to start due to an application fault in VBoxD3D9wddm-x86.dll. Details from Event Viewer below.

Turning off 3d acceleration in the VM settings works around the problem.

This may be similar to ticket 14190

The 5.0.1 Guest Additional update from ticket 14190 solves the problem. I should have tried that first before opening this ticket.
