Installation Details: Virtual Box 5.0.0 r101573 Windows 10 Pro 32 bit edition VM: SAS University Edition
Details: The appliance does not start and returns a message "Failed to open a session for the VM SAS University Edition" The virtual machine 'SAS-University-Edition' has terminated unexpectedly during startup with exit code 1 (0x1). More details may be available in 'C:\Users\tvram\VirtualBox VMs\SAS-University-Edition\Logs\VBoxStartup.log'.

The same setup works on another computer that runs Windows 10 Pro 64 bit edition. Please advise what I should do to make it work in Windows 10 Pro 32 bit environment.

Please reopen if still relevant with VBox 5.0.2. VBox 5.0 had a regression which made it almost unusable on 32-bit Windows hosts.
