Virtual box hangs/crashes on VM rename

1) Make a new VM, called "test" 2) Right-click VM > settings 3) Change name to be "test (a:b)" 4) OK

An error will occur. On confirming the dialog, Virtual box will hang

'Check for updates' indicates this is the most recent version of Virtual Box.

I can't reproduce this issue. Virtualbox error window is displayed with the error VERR_INVALID_NAME. There is no hanging.
