Virtualbox 5.0.6 Slow Loading & Desktop Flickers

My System Specs;
Slackware 14.1 x86_64 Openbox 3.6.1 Nvidia 352.41 xorg-server-1.14.3 compton
I noticed that when starting Virtualbox it loads slowly, taking around 5-10 seconds before it appears on the desktop. Once it loads the entire desktop flickers.
I'm running the compton composite manager and the last safe version I could use without the slow loading and flicker was 5.0.2
Has something changed in virtualbox that is creating a problem when running a composite manager like compton?

This has started at the 5.0.3 version to date...
Still seeing the problem in 5.0.8
In laymen's terms this really sucks and I'd like to get a fix for this?

I forgot to mention, if I disable compton, Virtualbox loads fine and the desktop does not flicker.
I don't know if Virtualbox or compton is the problem here...
