Description
Windows 10 guest stops responding after leaving it run in the background. It may have something to do with how windows 10 sleeps or hibernates. Maybe something to do with the power settings and how it lets hard disks spin down or other such things. The screen looks fine (not black). The mouse doesn't move. It doesn't respond to Ctrl-Alt-Delete. It doesn't respond to “Send the shutdown signal”. Sending the “Power off the machine” does close the box and restarting it doesn't give me the options for safe more like windows 7 did.
Running on Windows 7 Ultimate Host.

Does this also happen if you decrease the number of guest CPUs to 1?

Ok, I did a test. It lasted the four hours I could give it. Way longer then the usual 20 min or so. Question is, How do I get it back? Would 3 or 4 work? Is it an issue with hyper threaded cores? ie. would setting it to 5 help as I only have 4 hyper threaded cores so it would be guaranteed at least 1 real core.
How do I proceed with my application testing on windows 10 ( witch acts differently on single vs multi core computers )
