Soft lockup - CPU stuck for 22s

Description

After running a Virtualbox VM brought up with Vagrant for a long period of time, we are eventually unable to reach the host. We are forced to restart the VM in order to be able to connect to it again. The kernel log contains soft lockup errors.

Host: OS X 10.10.4 Guest: Ubuntu 14.04 3.19.0-51-generic:amd64
